What is Knowledge Hive?
 Knowledge
Hive is a week
long residential retreat for the serious students of Islamic knowledge.
A gathering of the best and most dedicated students and some of the top
AlKauthar instructors. A rare opportunity to live, eat, pray and spend
intimate time with the shuyukh in an environment of eeman, knowledge
and constant remembrance of Allah. It is your opportunity to isolate
yourself from the distractions of the dunya and concentrate on mental
and spiritual refinement through intensive study of your deen.
KnowledgeHive is held for duration
of 7 days. A typical day starts at Fajr with Quran recitation and
thereafter lessons are held throughout the day with meals and short
breaks. Daily recreational breaks are also in place to ensure physical
activity and team building opportunities for the students.
The week will end off with an OSKE
exam. This is an oral exam in which students are verbally tested by the
instructors. Instructors are situated in various stations where they
will ask a set of questions related to their topic for five minutes
each.
Our Objective
To galvanise students of
knowledge in an environment which is focused on worship, and seeking
knowledge. Imparting in them the etiquettes of true students of
knowledge and facilitating a forum in which they can train their minds,
bodies and hearts to strive in the cause of Allah with the people of
knowledge in an atmosphere of taqwa. Allowing students of knowledge to
learn closely with their teachers, interact with them on a personal as
well as academic level. To build bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood,
strengthened by their journey together in seeking knowledge.
What makes Knowledge Hive
Unique?
Each Knowledge Hive is
designed with the following five components:
1. Intensive knowledge
Students are put through a schedule
of learning that encourages an accelerated growth in their study
habits. They will find themselves achieving what they thought to be
impossible for themselves. This has proven to transform average
students to the most dedicated and efficient students wherever they
continue their learning.
2. Instructor interaction
The number of students is limited
to ensure students are able to build a personal relationship with each
instructor. Unlike weekend courses, students are able to spend time
with the instructors beyond their sessions and learn from their manners
- an essential part of seeking knowledge.
3. Spiritual upliftment
Knowldge Hive provides a tremendous
spiritual recharge by being in an environment of learning sacred
knowledge and being with other dedicated students and instructors. The
topics covered and time spent getting to learn the religion helps boost
the students' emaan and nourishes their soul.
4. Seclusion
The venue is selected far from the
main city so students are not distracted and are able to focus on their
goal at hand. This is an effective way for students to truly immerse
themselves in the experience and extract the greatest benefits.
Students will find that the best way to learn sacred knowledge and
appreciate the beauty of Islam is to be in a natural environment
wherein one can ponder over the creation of Allah the Most High.
5. Recreation
Recreational activities are
scheduled daily to physically energize the students. A variety of team
building and sports activities are designed to further build the bonds
of brotherhood and sisterhood. An excellent way to give the students a
mental break between an intense learning schedule.
